Over 5 million people speak Wolof in the Gambia, Senegal and Mauritania. It is the language spoken by businesspeople in these countries and has become increasingly prevalent in the area’s radio and TV programming. Primarily based on the Gambian dialect of the language, this dictionary and phrasebook is a reference for Wolof in English.
